International financial conference comes to Dublin with Matheson’s help
Dublin firm Matheson has helped bring the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) AGM and conference to the Irish capital.
The firm sponsored the internationally recognised event, which took place at the end of last week, in line with its strategy of being the law firm of choice for internationally-focussed companies and financial institutions doing business in and from Ireland.
The AGM and conference took place in Dublin’s Convention Centre with key speakers including representatives from the Central Bank of Ireland, The World Bank, the European Securities and Markets Authority, the European Commission, the European Parliament, University of Oxford and The Financial Times.
Panel discussion topics included developments in global capital markets, the role of debt and its legacy, global trends in the asset management industry, green bonds and fixed income markets.
Turlough Galvin, head of the Structured Finance Group at Matheson, welcomed attendees at a gala reception in the Guinness Storehouse and thanked Gerard Scully of the Irish Stock Exchange for his efforts in bringing the event to Dublin.
Mr Galvin added: “At Matheson we are proud of our reputation as one of Ireland’s leading law firms, with a market-leading debt capital markets practice. Our clients are at the centre of all we do and our success depends on growing their satisfaction and trust.
“We are committed to having a strong presence where our clients are located. Our offices in Dublin, London, New York and Palo Alto confirm both our commitment to client service and our desire to be genuinely responsive to the needs of our clients wherever they are located.”
