Irish Judicial Studies Journal to be included in Scopus
The Irish Judicial Studies Journal has become the first Irish law journal to be included in the prestigious Scopus index of peer-reviewed journals.
Scopus is Elsevier’s abstract and citation database and inclusion in the database is a mark of quality in itself. Publications in the index are reviewed each year to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
Editor-in-chief Dr Laura Cahillane said: “This is a wonderful achievement for the Journal and, as far as we are aware, this is the first time an Irish law journal has been included in the index.
“This recognition is due to the high quality articles published in the journal, the important review work carried out by my colleagues, the judicial advisors, and by external reviewers and the work completed by the editorial board in the review process.”
The journal is produced by a team of academics at the University of Limerick with support from a five-person judicial advisory committee.
