Irish legal charity seeks new executive director
Salary Range: €38,000 – €42,000
Irish Rule of Law International (IRLI), the joint charity of The Law Society of Ireland and The Bar of Ireland, dedicated to promoting the rule of law in developing countries is seeking a new Executive Director.
The deadline for applications for the position, which pays between 38-42,000 euros is Monday 26th September.
IRLI is primarily a project-based organisation with a variety of projects in countries such as South Africa, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania and Myanmar which range in focus from human rights to commercial law, and in application from training of judiciary and lawyers to access to justice at a grassroots level and clinical legal education for law students. IRLI works to advance collective knowledge of the relationship between rule of law, democracy, sustained economic development and human rights.
The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of Irish Rule of Law International under the direction of the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include development of a new organisational strategic plan, revenue generation, financial management, organisational development, staff and organisation management.
