Irish Legal History Society launches 2024 student essay competition
The Irish Legal History Society (ILHS) is inviting submissions to its annual student essay competition, with a €250 prize up for grabs.
Now in its third year, the essay competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students — in Ireland or abroad — and seeks to encourage and support the study of Irish legal history.
Submissions will be judged on their relevance to Irish legal history, contribution to the knowledge base, clarity of organisation and argument, use of the literature, and writing style/quality.
Essays of up to 5,000 words must be submitted no later than 31 May 2024, with results to be announced no later than 30 September 2024.
More information is available from the ILHS website.
