Irish property values rise eight per cent
Residential property values in Ireland rose by eight per cent over the year to 29 February 2016, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
Residential properties in Dublin were four per cent higher at the end of February than a year previous, while properties outside Dublin were 11.5 per cent higher than before.
At their peak in February 2007, residential property prices in Dublin were 36.9 per cent higher than in February 2016.
In the rest of Ireland, residential property values at their peak in September 2007 were 35.2 per cent higher than in February 2016.
Overall, the national index is 33.8 per cent lower than at its 2007 peak.
