IVCA and William Fry publish SME funding survey
The Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA) has published the results of its annual VenturePulse survey in association with William Fry.
Irish high tech SMEs raised €522 million in 2015, an increase of 30 per cent on the previous year, the report shows.
William Fry was among advisors on some of the largest venture capital deals in 2015, including a €45 million investment into waste management and recycling technology firm AMCS.
IVCA chairman Brian Caulfield said: “The results show increased interest by overseas investors in the Irish tech sector which is a tribute to the calibre of its entrepreneurs and technology capabilities.”
He added: “The Irish venture capital community continues to be the main source of funding for Irish innovative SMEs both through direct investment and as the local lead investor for international syndicate investors.”
