Jane Anne Rothwell
Tributes have been paid to late Cork barrister Jane Anne Rothwell, who passed away on Sunday following a short illness.
She was praised by colleagues and the Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Mick Finn, for her contribution to Cork Midsummer Festival, which she chaired for the past five years.
Ms Rothwell was educated at UCC School of Law and the King’s Inns, calling to the Bar in 1999.
As well as practicing on the Munster and South Western Circuits, she previously lectured and tutored in company and tort law in UCC and Griffith College.
Ms Rothwell was appointed honorary secretary of the Munster Bar in 2004 and organised the Cork Bar Conference abroad every year.
