NI: JMK Solicitors awarded Lexcel Quality Mark for the third year running
Belfast and Newry firm JMK Solicitors has been awarded the Lexcel Quality Mark for the third year in a row.
The personal injury and road traffic accident specialist firm was awarded the mark by the Law Society of Northern Ireland following a rigorous assessment process.
Assessors said the firm’s compliance with Lexcel standards was “very high” and that no issues had been raised in its three-year certification history.
The assessors’ report noted: “The company has continued to make ongoing efficiency improvements in the past year and points of particular note are the company’s rapid response to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, launch of the bespoke Client App, and issue of the JMK Court Guide.”
Praising the firm’s response to Covid-19 as “nothing short of excellent”, the assessors determined that operations “continued seamlessly” and said an internal staff survey resulted in high levels of satisfaction. The assessor said JMK was an example “not only to the legal sector … but all employers in the province”.
The assessors also praised the firm’s recent decision to offer staff a four-day work week with no reduction in pay after a two-year-long experiment, which the report said was “nothing short of an amazing achievement”.
Managing director Maurece Hutchinson said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Lexcel Quality Mark for the third year in a row. The award is a testament to the hard work, dedication and professionalism of our team of over 60 people, who go above and beyond to help clients.
“We’re committed to providing the best possible client experience, and it was great to read the assessor’s glowing report about our new bespoke Client App.”
She added: “As a specialist law firm operating solely in the area of personal injury claims and road traffic accidents, we will continue to make a significant investment in our IT system and staff development to ensure we maintain the high standard set by the Lexcel Quality Mark and accreditation.”
