Mr Walker was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 1960 and was principal of John G H Wilson & Company Solicitors before retiring in 1997.

The Law Society of Northern Ireland said it “offers its deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, and friends”.

A service of thanksgiving will take place in Wades Funeral Home, Coleraine, on Wednesday 19 June at 2pm, followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery.
