Judge Deery report confirms compliance with Fixed Charge Processing System policy

The third annual report of the Independent Oversight Authority for the Garda Fixed Charge Processing System (FCPS) Cancellation Policy has been published.

Judge Matthew Deery, who was appointed as the sole Independent Oversight Authority in 2015, authored the short three-page report.

Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan, welcoming the report, said: “I am pleased that Judge Deery’s annual report for 2017 continues to confirm the ‘substantial compliance’ with Fixed Charge Processing System policy and procedures reported in 2016.

“The independent nature of Judge Deery’s oversight is critical in maintaining confidence in the FCPS and acknowledging the significant contribution it makes to road traffic enforcement.”
