Judge Donagh McDonagh retires from Cork Circuit Court
Judge Donagh McDonagh has retired from Cork Circuit Court after 11 years on the bench, The Irish Examiner reports.
Judge Raymond Groarke, President of the Circuit Court, yesterday led tributes to Judge McDonagh at a special court sitting to recognise Judge McDonagh’s career and legacy.
He said Judge McDonagh had a vast and varied practise in all aspects of legal work. Before joining the bench in 2005, Judge McDonagh had been a prosecutor for 15 years and an eminent defence counsel.
The retiring judge thanked his friends at the Bar, solicitors and his family - in particular his wife Marie - for their support.
