Ken Murphy begins term on Bar Issues Commission

The director general of the Law Society of Ireland has begun serving on the Bar Issues Commission within the International Bar Association (IBA), the Society’s Gazette reports.

Ken Murphy began his term as one of ten members of the commission - the voice of Bars, law societies and their members worldwide - on Sunday 1 January 2017 after being elected last year.

Mr Murphy is also in his second two-year term as co-chair of the IBA’s Bar Executives Committee.
