King’s Inn students raise €1,200 for the homeless
A homelessness charity has benefited from €1,200 raised by King’s Inns students at their Christmas carol concert.
Declan Harmon and Katherine McVeigh, jointly representing the King’s Inns students, handed over the €1,200 cheque to Alan Bailey of the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People.
The charity provides over 300 breakfasts and 550 lunches on a daily basis, free of charge, to homeless and marginalised people.
Each week, it distributes around 1,800 food parcels, and also provides medical, dental, optical and personal hygiene facilities.
