KOD Lyons partner addresses public meeting on autism rights
Gareth Noble, child law partner at KOD Lyons, addressed a public meeting on the needs of children with additional needs last night.
The meeting was hosted by South Tipperary Autism Support Group and saw Mr Noble joined by autistic advocate Adam Harris.
Mr Noble discussed how the rights of children with additional needs can and should be vindicated by authorities such as Tusla and the HSE.
He said the need for early detection and provision of appropriate services without delays in a decision-making process that is fair and accountable is key, according to a recap on Twitter.
He added that the HSE must be “reined in” by politicians to ensure a fair playing field and the delivery of rights for children.
