KOD Lyons welcomes two newly-qualified solicitors
Dublin-based KOD Lyons has welcomed solicitors Stephen Kirwan and Eoghan O’Sullivan (pictured right), who trained with the firm.
Mr Kirwan joins the firm’s human rights and public interest litigation department, while Mr O’Sullivan joins the criminal defence and prison law team.
John O’Doherty, managing partner at KOD Lyons, told Irish Legal News: “Stephen and Eoghan join a long list of very capable trainees who have been offered positions as solicitors following a successful training programme with KOD Lyons.
“In that sense they truly are hitting the ground running and both bring a proactive, sensitive and campaigning approach to their work that fits the KOD Lyons ethos.”
Mr O’Doherty added: “Eoghan joins our criminal defence and prison law team. As a trainee he worked on a number of groundbreaking cases in the High Court in prison law including the recent successful challenge to single separation in Oberstown.
“Stephen has a wealth of experience and keen knowledge of human rights law. He has particular interest and expertise in data protection and privacy law, social welfare law, elder and capacity law, the law on charities and immigration law. The impact of Brexit is something that he is actively working on with a number of individual clients and NGOs.
“We are truly delighted to have them both qualify and they will be a key part of our team going forward.”
