NI: Larkin launches recruitment of new DPP with £181k salary
Attorney General John Larkin has published a call for applications for the job of Director of Public Prosecutions, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
The successor to Barra McGrory QC, who announced his plan to step down earlier this year, will earn a salary of over £181,000.
Applicants must have at least ten years’ experience as a member of The Bar of Northern Ireland or solicitor of the Court of Judicature.
The job notice says the role requires “the highest calibre and integrity” as well as “an excellent knowledge of criminal law and practice, and the ability to apply it to the most serious and difficult cases.”
