NI: Law Society announces Advanced Advocacy Course for Solicitors
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has announced the launch of their Advanced Advocacy Course for Solicitors 2017.
Now in its 18th year, the Advocacy course continues to grow in popularity and attendance providing world class training to local solicitors to help them improve and develop their advocacy skills.
The course is organised by the Law Society of Northern Ireland in conjunction with the Advocacy Working Party and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), America’s leading provider of legal advocacy skills training.
The intensive five-day course is delivered by faculty members from NITA and local tutors drawn from the judiciary and solicitors’ profession.
The course culminates in a mock trial in the High Court in Belfast presided over by judges from Northern Ireland and elsewhere.
Ian Huddleston, president of the Law Society, said: “I would recommend the Advanced Advocacy course to all solicitor firms and solicitors in Northern Ireland.
“It is a ‘must’ for any legal practitioner seeking to enhance their advocacy and legal skills for their practice and their clients”.
Details of the new Advanced Advocacy course are available online.
