Law Society brings proceedings against ‘claims harvesting’ companies
The Law Society of Ireland has brought legal proceedings against two companies accused of “claims harvesting” in as many months, The Irish Times reports.
Last month, the Society brought High Court proceedings against Agenda Computers Ltd and director David Smyth. Yesterday, it brought proceedings against Accident Claims Helpline Ltd and director Anthony Russell.
The firms are alleged to have given members of the public the impression of being legal firms.
