NI: Law Society NI raises £73k for premature baby charity
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has successfully raised almost £73,000 for a leading local premature and vulnerable baby charity.
Dancers from the Society’s “Strictly Legal 2015” event took their hats off as they presented a cheque for the total sum to representatives of TinyLife outside the High Court in Belfast yesterday.
Arleen Elliott, president of the Law Society, was responsible for picking TinyLife as the Society’s chosen charity of the year.
TinyLife, based in Belfast, is dedicated to reducing premature birth, illness, disability and death in babies.
The charity provides families with emotional and practical support, funding for vital research, a breast pump loan and hire service, parent support groups and a resource and information library.
