Law Society of Northern Ireland names Include Youth as charity partner
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has named Include Youth as its charity of the year for 2023.
Established over 40 years ago, Include Youth is an independent organisation which actively promotes the rights, best interests of and best practice with young people with care experience and young people from disadvantaged communities.
The charity influences public policy and policy awareness in the areas of youth justice and education, employment, and training of young people.
Brian Archer, the Society’s new president, joined Include Youth’s chairperson Donal Collins and skills manager Claire Meenean at their new premises in Great Patrick Street, Belfast to formally launch the new charity partnership.
Mr Archer said: “The Law Society of Northern Ireland will be working with Include Youth throughout 2023 to raise awareness, funds and support for the important work which they undertake with young people with care experience and young people from disadvantages communities.”
Mr Collins added: “We are delighted to have been chosen as the Society’s charity of the year and to have this opportunity to welcome Brian Archer, their president, to our new premises to mark what will be a successful charity partnership for the year ahead.”
