NI: Law Society pays tribute to late Patrick Jemphrey
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has announced that one of its past presidents, Patrick Jemphrey, has passed away.
He served as president of the Law Society in 1973.
John Guerin, president of the Law Society, told Irish Legal News: “Patrick Jemphrey was a highly respected member of the legal profession who throughout his long and distinguished career showed great commitment and dedication to the solicitor profession including serving as President of the Law Society of Northern Ireland in 1973.
“On behalf of the Law Society of Northern Ireland and the solicitor profession we offer our sincere condolences to the Jemphrey family during this most difficult of times.”
The late Mr Jemphrey, who passed away at the age of 85, is survived by his wife, four sons, four daughters-in-law and twelve grandchildren.
A thanksgiving service will take place at 2.30pm today at Knock Presbyterian Church.
