Law Society welcomes 39 newly-qualified solicitors
Thirty-nine newly-qualified solicitors received their parchments and were admitted to the Roll of Solicitors at the first parchment ceremony of 2016 last night.
Kevin F. O’Malley, the US Amabassador to Ireland, was the guest speaker at the ceremony.
He told the solicitors that his own parchment day was “still the proudest day of my life”.
The Hon. Mr Justice Michael Peart of the High Court and the President of the Law Society, Mr Simon Murphy also spoke during the hour-and-a-half-long ceremony.
Final Examination (First Part) and Professional Practice Course prizes were presented to ten prize-winners.
