NI: Law Society welcomes Eileen Ewing as junior vice president
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has welcomed Oxford-born solicitor Eileen Ewing as its new junior vice president.
Ms Ewing began her legal career at Patterson Taylor and Company in Belfast in 1970 as a clerical officer. Since 2005, she has practised with Thompson Crooks Solicitors in Belfast.
She has been a member of the Children’s Order and Guardian Ad Litem Panel and contributed to the introduction of collaborative family law in Northern Ireland.
She was elected to the Council of the Law Society of Northern Ireland in 2009 and has served as chair of the Society’s family, criminal law and client complaints committees.
Ms Ewing is married with one son. During her free time, she is a keen seamstress and cook.
