Law Society Younger Members Committee to focus on promoting diversity
The Law Society of Ireland’s Younger Members Committee will focus this year on promoting and enhancing diversity within the profession.
The committee is made up of newly-qualified solicitors from across the country, with a focus on engagement, networking and professional development among the younger members of the profession.
Michael Quinlan, president of the Law Society of Ireland, today attended the committee’s first meeting of the year.
Speaking to Irish Legal News afterwards, he said the committee is “an important part of the Society’s invaluable committee structure which is made up of more than 400 solicitors on a volunteer basis”.
Mr Quinlan added: “One of the committee’s key achievements is the development of a Guide to Flexible Working which reflects modern working environments.
“This year the committee is focused on promoting and enhancing diversity within the profession and I am delighted to support their efforts in this regard.”
