NI: Law student killed in traffic collision
A 19-year-old law and criminology student at Ulster University has been killed in a traffic collision.
Shannon McQuillan, from Dunloy in Co Antrim, was struck by a van near Toomebridge early on Saturday morning.
In a brief statement, Ulster University Law Society said it wished to “extend our deepest sympathies to the family of our member Shannon McQuillan, who tragically passed away this weekend”.
The Society also sent “best wishes” to Ms McQuillan’s boyfriend, Owen McFerran, who is currently being treated in hospital.
