Lawyer for aid agency recognised among top Irish in-house counsel
Humanitarian aid agency GOAL has congratulated its general counsel, Alison Mitchell, on being the only Irish lawyer working for a non-profit to be named in a prestigious list of top in-house lawyers.
Ms Mitchell is named in the The Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Ireland 2019, which was recently launched at Matheson’s Dublin offices.
Prior to joining GOAL in November 2015, she acted as general counsel with Calor Gas Ireland and, earlier, as a corporate associate with Maples & Calder and Matheson.
Commenting on the recognition, Ms Mitchell said: “It’s great to see the hard work of friends and colleagues representing a diverse range of industries that includes non-profit, tech, commercial and banking sectors being recognised by The Legal 500.
“Thanks to all my colleagues at GOAL for their continued support and dedication to such worthy humanitarian causes.”
GOAL CEO Siobhan Walsh added: “Alison is highly respected by her colleagues within GOAL and I’m delighted that she is now recognised in this public capacity by the wider legal community.
“Alison has played a vital role in our development and we are very proud of her.”
