This will be the 14th event organised by the legal initiative since 2017, in the process raising over €417,000 for the Capuchin Day Centre.

Expert witnesses, ethics, medical negligence and issues concerning junior practitioners will be the focus of this month’s event.

Guest speakers will include Court of Appeal president Ms Justice Caroline Costello and High Court judge Ms Justice Emily Egan, as well as senior solicitors and barristers.

The event offers four CPD points for a fee of €120 for those with at least five years’ PQE or €60 for those with fewer — though lawyers are also encouraged to give a more generous donation.

“Many colleagues from both professions regularly give us donations of €500, €1,000, €5,000 and more for each of the three CPD events annually,” the organisers have said.
