NI: Lawyers join Belfast Pride parade for third year running
For a third year running, Northern Ireland lawyers were among thousands of people who took part in the annual Belfast Pride parade on Saturday.
Lawyers with Pride was set up in 2016 to “ensure that the LGBT community know that they can access justice without fear or bias”.
As well as taking part in this year’s parade, the group organised a lecture by transgender judge Master Victoria McCloud.
Human rights lawyer Ciarán Moynagh, who has played a key role in organising the legal bloc, told Irish Legal News: “This was the third year lawyers with Pride participated in a Belfast Pride.
“We were joined this year by Pinsent Masons and Herbert Smith Freehills and we got such a positive response from the ever-growing crowds.
“We hope to go from strength to strength and have more events throughout the year.”
