NI: Legal Walk raises over £10,000 for charity
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has announced its Legal Walk/Run in May raised over £10,000 for chosen charity Marie Curie.
The participants, including the Lord Chief Justice, Sir Declan Morgan and other senior members of the judiciary, set off from the High Court on a five-kilometre walk/run to the Titanic Centre and back.
Ian Huddleston, President of the Law Society, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated, offered support, ran or walked and for making the inaugural Legal Walk/Run such a resounding success in raising over £10,000 for Marie Curie.
“To the solicitor firms, members of the Bar and our judiciary who offered their support and participated, my sincere thanks.
“Particular thanks also go to McCartan Turkington Breen who allowed their car park to be used as a registration station.”
