Limerick solicitors to host charity quiz night
The Limerick Solicitors Bar Association (LSBA) has invited Limerick lawyers to a quiz night in support of a child sexual abuse charity.
Solicitor Ger O’Neill of local firm O’Neill & Company Solicitors will serve as “quizmaster extraordinaire” on the night, which will include questions on general knowledge, sport, news and current affairs – but no law.
Teams of up to four can participate for €10 per person, with funds raised to be donated to CARI (Children At Risk in Ireland), a voluntary organisation with a full-time centre in Limerick providing specialised therapy and support to children, families and groups affected by child sexual abuse.
The event is not limited to solicitors, and friends and family are very welcome.
Derek Walsh, secretary of the association, told Irish Legal News: “Limerick’s best eggheads will be out in force for the night and tables are being snapped up fast so if there are any Limerick lawyers who have not yet booked a table, they are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible.
“It will be a great night of craic and quizzing and it’s all for a good cause!”
The quiz night will take place on Friday 17 May at 7.30pm in the Limerick Lawn Tennis Club. Tickets are available by contacting secretary@limericksolicitorsbarassociation.com.
