Limerick to host conference on the Constitution at 80
Legal figures are set to come together at University of Limerick next week for a conference marking 80 years of the Irish Constitution.
Keynote presentations will be delivered by Emily Logan, chief commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, and Mr Justice Donal O’Donnell of the Supreme Court.
Dr Laura Cahillane, who is organising the conference with Dr David Kenny, told Irish Legal News: “It will bring together judges, scholars, practitioners, and those with experience of constitutional governance to reflect upon and discuss the past, present and future of Ireland’s constitutional order at this important milestone.”
Details on registration and a link to the draft programme for the conference are available from the university’s website.
