Making a Murderer lawyers to speak in Ireland

Two star lawyers from Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer will speak in Dublin, Cork and Galway later this year.
Defence attorneys Jerry Buting and Dean Strang will take part in “a moderated discussion regarding the systemic failures of the criminal justice system, as well as the broader implications of the Steven Avery case” in Dublin on 24 September 2016.
It follows their appearance in Cork on 22 September and precedes a Galway event on 25 September 2016.
Tickets for each of the events will go on sale from 31 March 2016.
Mr Buting has already been announced as a speaker at the European Young Bar Association’s Spring conference in Belfast next month.
The two lawyers are currently touring the US in the wake of Making a Murderer’s runaway success.
The popular documentary series follows the controversial murder trial of their former client Steven Avery, who maintains his innocence.
