Man accused of Judge Walsh assault to be bailed
The man accused of assaulting Judge Miriam Walsh of the District Court during court proceedings is set to be released on bail, The Irish Times reports.
The alleged assault earlier this month saw Judge Walsh reportedly punched in the head then kicked while lying on the ground.
She was briefly hospitalised and treated for some minor injuries.
Bail conditions imposed on the 31-year-old man mean he must stay away from the Dolphin House building, where the alleged assault took place.
Peter Connolly, solicitor for the man, told Dublin District Court that his client accepted the conditions and would take up bail.
A further hearing will take place next Tuesday.
