Maples advises Cantor Fitzgerald on acquisition of Merrion Capital
The Dublin office of international law firm Maples and Calder advised Cantor Fitzgerald on its agreement to acquire Merrion Capital Group.
This transaction will expand Cantor Fitzgerald’s breadth of investment management, financial advisory, debt and corporate advisory offering, while also enabling the Merrion team to avail itself of the expertise, resources and network of a global organisation.
Deirdre MacCarthy, corporate partner at Maples and Calder, said: “We are delighted to once again have had the opportunity to advise Cantor Fitzgerald on such a significant transaction and we are confident it will contribute to their growth over the coming years.
“We look forward to working with the team again in the future as they continue to drive expansion.”
Ms MacCarthy (pictured) led the Maples and Calder team on the deal, assisted by associate Laura Hannon.
Ronan Reid, CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, said: “We were and continue to be very happy with the advice provided by Deirdre, Laura and the team which proved integral to getting this transaction across the line.”
Maples and Calder is a long-standing adviser to Cantor Fitzgerald and previously advised the firm on its acquisition of L&P Group.
