The Maples Group has renewed its sponsorship of St Mary’s College Rugby Football Club for a further three years.

The new agreement, which commences in September 2024, will see the Maples brand continue to appear on the front of the senior men’s team jerseys following their promotion to Division 1A. Maples Group will be the lead sponsor of the club through to 2027.

Through the partnership, which commenced in 2021, the rugby club reintroduced its inclusive disability squad, the St. Mary’s Stars, which continues to grow in strength.

Ian Conlon, partner at the Maples Group, said: “The Maples Group is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate.

“St. Mary’s is known for its openness and inclusivity. From the senior men and women squads to junior rugby teams competing at all ages, from the underage mini rugby programme to the St. Mary’s Stars, it is truly a club for all.

“That’s what makes St. Mary’s a natural partner for the Maples Group.”

David Lyons, head of sponsorship at St. Mary’s, added: “We are incredibly grateful to Maples for their continued commitment to St. Mary’s College RFC over the next three seasons.

“Their ongoing support will continue to be instrumental not only in improving our club both on and off the pitch but also supporting the wider community.

“This investment will help us to continue competing at the highest level in Irish rugby, and we look forward to achieving even greater things together in the coming years.”

With the 2024-25 season now underway, the Maples Group extended its “best wishes” to club president Paudge McGill, club captain Ronan Watters and ladies captain Sarah Fallon.
