Maree Gallagher has joined Beauchamps Solicitors as senior counsel, marking the firm’s fifth senior hire this year.

Ms Gallagher, an Irish qualified solicitor specialising in EU and Irish regulatory law, enhances the firm’s offering to the food, agri-business and life science sectors.

She has 20 years of experience helping businesses navigate the regulatory pitfalls of getting food, agri, consumer and life-science products to market in Europe, and previously spent a number of years in Brussels advising clients on EU and regulatory law.

Ms Gallagher said: “There are significant opportunities for Ireland’s food and agriculture sectors to grow internationally.

“Beauchamps’ focus on the growth of Irish businesses across sectors is an ideal platform for my expertise. I look forward to working with the Beauchamps team across their range of practices and sharing my experience in the regulatory environment with Beauchamps’ clients.”

John White, managing partner of Beauchamps Solicitors, welcomed Ms Gallagher to the firm.

He said: “Maree’s appointment with Beauchamps will give our clients access to unique expertise in the Food, Agri-business and Life Science sectors, as well as bolstering our regulatory and EU law offering.

“We have seen a significant increase in commercial activity in these sectors over the past 18 months and are delighted to welcome someone of Maree’s experience and reputation to our growing Firm.”

In addition to her legal practice, Maree maintains MGA, where she acts as a strategic and public affairs and crisis management adviser in her specialist areas.
