Married couple granted court ban from each other’s bedrooms
A married couple have been granted court orders banning each other from their respective bedroom and bathroom, the Irish Independent reports.
Ennis Family Court heard that the couple, who have been married almost 40 years and have grandchildren, agreed via their solicitors not to enter each other’s bedroom and bathroom.
The deal was struck after the woman, who has told the court of abuse by her husband, withdrew her safety order application against him.
The court case has been adjourned until 1 February to allow plumbing work to be done to the home to allow the agreement to enter effect.
