Mary Keane elected vice-chair of National Gallery of Ireland board
Mary Keane, deputy director-general of the Law Society of Ireland, has been elected vice-chair of the Board of the National Gallery of Ireland.
Ms Keane was appointed to the seventeen-member Board by the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs in 2014.
She told Irish Legal News: “I’m delighted to have been elected as Vice-Chair at such an exciting time for the Gallery.
“We are looking forward to the re-opening of the historic wings on 14 June 2017.
“I would encourage colleagues to re-connect with the Gallery and support its efforts to celebrate the artistic treasures that the Gallery holds on behalf of the people of Ireland.”
