Mason Hayes & Curran appoints David Gunn as construction, infrastructure and utilities partner
Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) has announced the appointment of David Gunn as a partner in the firm’s construction, infrastructure and utilities team.
Mr Gunn specialises in project development and finance and advises developers, banks and contractors in the public sector across a range of areas including infrastructure, housing, education and energy.
He has advised on the construction aspects of large scale infrastructure projects and PPPs in both Ireland and Australia, and also spent four years as in-house counsel advising on the winding up of an Irish bank.
Rory Kirrane, partner and head of the construction, infrastructure and utilities team, said: “We are delighted to announce David’s appointment. His significant international experience further strengthens the firm’s reputation as a market leader in construction, infrastructure and utilities.”
Mr Gunn added: “As the legal and regulatory responsibilities placed on companies become more complex, it’s essential for organisations involved in project finance matters to have advisors who can help them evaluate and manage legal and reputational risk.
“I’m looking forward to further building on the team’s reputation for delivering commercial and pragmatic advice to clients.”
Mr Gunn joins Mason Hayes & Curran from another leading Dublin firm where he was a partner. Prior to that, he was a senior associate in a major Australian firm specialising in projects and energy.
