Mason Hayes & Curran appoints director of client service
Mason Hayes & Curran has announced the appointment of Nina Hourigan Smith to the unique role of director of client service.
Ms Smith, an experienced corporate lawyer, will work with clients, free of charge, to enhance the service they receive and to develop bespoke service plans tailored to individual client needs and preferences.
Her role, which the firm says is unique in Ireland, also involves the analysis and development of client service standards and process efficiency across the firm.
She will promote the adoption of new technologies and other service innovations where these are beneficial to clients and lead training and lawyer development on service related skills.
Ms Smith previously worked in leading Irish and Australian commercial firms and held a senior in-house role in the financial services industry.
Declan Black, managing partner at Mason Hayes & Curran, said: “Superior client service is at the heart of everything we do and Nina’s appointment is an example of our commitment to that principle.
“Clients, and particularly in-house legal departments, have really appreciated having a senior resource like Nina available to them with the sole focus of improving, in every way possible, the benefit they get from Mason Hayes & Curran.
“In 2016 we won the ‘Ireland Client Service Law Firm of the Year’ at the Chambers Europe Awards. That award was based on clients telling the researchers that we provide excellent legal advice that is quickly given, clear and highly practical.
“Nina’s job is to sustain and further enhance that approach.”
