Mason Hayes & Curran launches tech law writing contest

Mason Hayes & Curran has invited third level students in Ireland to participate in its inaugural tech law writing contest.

Students are invited to submit 500-600 word essays on Technology, Media and Communications Law, Intellectual Property, Data Security or Data Protection with the winner in with a chance of being published on MHC.ie.

Entires must be submitted by email to blog@mhc.ie with a cover page (download here) by Friday 15 April 2016.

All essays must be:

  • Between 500 and 600 words, including footnotes;
  • Submitted in Microsoft Word format and typed in Arial, size 11 font and 1.5 spacing;
  • Solely authored by you and your original work; and
  • Not previously submitted to any other contest, competition or publication, or made publicly available.
  • The first place prize is €200 and publication of the winning essay on MHC.ie and on SiliconRepublic.com.

    The essays in second and third place will net cash prizes of €100 and €50 respectively.
