Matheson appoints Pat English as head of international business
Dublin firm Matheson has announced the appointment of Pat English as head of the firm’s International Business Group.
He advises a broad range of international clients on international corporate reorganisations, pre and post-integration transactions, cross border mergers and general commercial contracts, corporate governance and compliance issues.
On taking up his new position, Mr English (pictured) retains his existing roles at Matheson as co-head of the firm’s US Business and Inward Investment Groups. He has a BCL from UCC.
Managing partner Michael Jackson said: “I congratulate Pat on his new appointment. This appointment reflects the continued growth of the firm and demonstrates our commitment at Matheson to delivering results for our clients through investing in talented lawyers.
“Pat works primarily with international clients who are seeking to do business in Ireland and advising clients on establishing operations here.
“Pat’s expertise in this area is particularly important as more overseas multinationals consider Ireland as a base for operations post-Brexit.”
Mr English added: “I am delighted to take up the role of Head of the International Business Group from my colleague Robert O’Shea, our new Head of Matheson’s Corporate and Commercial Department.
“I look forward to continuing to work with our team of first-class corporate lawyers who have successfully advised on some of the largest inward investment and restructuring projects in Ireland.”
