The only Irish firm to win or be shortlisted for an award this year, Matheson won the accolade for its Pathways programme, an agile and sustainable learning programme which identifies skills and capabilities for every employee in the firm to achieve as part of their career development.

The organisers said that the programme was a “fantastic example of truly cross-firm people development that has strengthened the firm’s community and culture”.

They added: “The initiative pivoted away from role related programmes to sessions chosen by the firm community. The sessions involved people from legal and support service divisions learning together, and in cohort groups, to match the needs of the post-pandemic working environment.”
