Matheson partner named Transatlantic Rising Star
Pat English, partner at Dublin-based firm Matheson, has been named a Transatlantic Rising Star by monthly magazine The American Lawyer.
The magazine has listed lawyers under 40 who demonstrate “excellence in handling transatlantic matters across the key areas of corporate, finance, disputes and outstanding transatlantic strategy”.
Mr English is a senior member of the Matheson International Business and US Business Groups and became partner in 2009.
That same year, he moved with his family to lead the firm’s New York office in the US, and later also the Palo Alto office.
His practice focusses on advising predominantly US clients on establishing operations and doing business in and from Ireland.
Michael Jackson, managing partner at Matheson, said: “We congratulate Pat on this achievement.”
He added: “This year Matheson is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of our first office in the US and we believe that this award reflects a continuation of our tradition to invest in the best people to support the needs of our internationally focused clients.”
Mr English said: “The development of close relationships with our clients in the US is integral to our business and our success here at Matheson. I am very grateful for this award which is testament to the collaborative effort of the team on both sides of the Atlantic.”
