Matheson partner named Transatlantic Rising Star
Matheson partner Pat English has been named a Transatlantic Rising Star by The American Lawyer.
The legal publication publishes a list of lawyers under the age of 40 with “excellence in handling transatlantic matters across the key areas of corporate, finance, disputes and outstanding transatlantic strategy”.
Mr English is a senior member of the Matheson International Business and US Business Groups.
From Cork, he became partner in 2009 and moved with his family to the US to lead the firm’s New York office, and later its Palo Alto office also.
His practice focuses on advising predominantly US clients on establishing operations and doing business in and from Ireland.
Michael Jackson, managing partner at Matheson, said: “As the law firm of choice for internationally focused companies and financial institutions doing business in and from Ireland, transatlantic business is core to our offering.
“There is little doubt that due to Pat’s efforts, then and now, the firm’s profile and brand awareness continues to increase exponentially in the US market.”
Mr English added: “The development of close relationships with our clients in the US is integral to our business and our success here at Matheson. I am very grateful for this award that is a result of a collaborative effort by the team on both sides of the Atlantic”.
