Matheson puts technology and innovation group under new leadership
Anne-Marie Bohan has taken over as head of the technology and innovation group at Matheson, which has also welcomed Deirdre Kilroy and Chris Bollard as new partners.
The senior appointments, first announced last month, took effect earlier this week.
Ms Bohan has over 20 years’ experience in technology-related legal matters and has significant experience advising on technology and privacy legal issues.
She advises on all aspects of technology and e-commerce law, with a particular focus on the requirements of financial institutions and financial services providers. She is also a member of the firm’s asset management and investment funds group.
Ms Kilroy has joined the firm as a partner and head of intellectual property, while Mr Bollard leads the firm’s new San Francisco office.
Michael Jackson, managing partner at Matheson, said: “I am delighted to announce these appointments at a time of strong business growth in the areas of IT, IP and FinTech and Innovation.
“In response to our market footprint in these areas and to further support our clients, we have refocused the firm’s technology and innovation practice to bring together the relevant technology, financial services and regulatory aspects of our business, along with integrating more fully our legal expertise in IT, financial services, regulatory, IP, data privacy, cyber security and outsourcing. I wish Anne-Marie, Deirdre and Chris every success in their new positions.”
