Matheson recognised for tax work at New York awards ceremony
Dublin-based Matheson has been recognised as the top international law firm in the Americas at the International Tax Review’s 13th annual Americas Tax Awards.
The awards, presented at a ceremony in New York, highlight transactions that break new ground and set market precedents based on a number of criteria including size, innovation, complexity and impact.
The International Firm in the Americas award is open to firms with headquarters outside the Americas that provide local tax advice on Americas-originated cross-border work.
Speaking about the win, Michael Jackson, managing partner at Matheson, said: “This award recognises the continued excellence of the legal work undertaken by our tax department and reflects the firm’s footprint on the ground in the US, with tax partner Alan Keating in New York and tax partner Mark O’Sullivan leading our US west coast offices in San Francisco and Palo Alto.”
