Solicitor Maura Kiely has been appointed as a Revenue Commissioner.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin appointed Ms Kiely to succeed Gerry Harrahill, who recently retired from the Revenue Board.
Ms Kiely has over 20 years’ experience as a practising solicitor. She joined Revenue in 2017 from the Central Bank of Ireland and was appointed Revenue Solicitor in 2021.
Prior to her role in the Central Bank of Ireland, Ms Kiely was a partner in private practice specialising in the area of criminal law.
Originally from Cork, she lives in Dublin with her husband and two children.
