Maynooth University graduates praise Supreme Court internship
Two Maynooth University graduates who took part in the Superior Courts Summer Intern Programme have encouraged others to apply.
The yearly internship programme is organised by The Honourable Chief Justice, Mrs Susan Denham.
Writing about her experience, Rachael Doyle said: “I would encourage all students to apply for this internship. I found that the experience gave me a unique insight into the Irish judicial system.
“The opportunity to work closely with a member of our judiciary, witness such a wide variety of cases and learn so much about our courts system has been an invaluable experience.”
Fellow graduate Ross Power added: “The internship certainly enhanced my career prospects and has resulted in numerous opportunities since I completed it.
“I got to meet a lot of nice people from the judges to the judicial ushers and assistants as well as a great number of talented law students from across Ireland and the United States.
“I would strongly encourage any student in Maynooth who wants to gain significant experience to help them as they begin their legal career to apply for the internship. The value of the internship is unquantifiable.”
