McCann FitzGerald appoints six new partners
McCann FitzGerald has announced the appointment of six partners and one consultant, bringing its total number of partners to 75.
The new partners are Michael Coonan in dispute resolution and litigation; Stephen Holst in employment; Emily Mac Nicholas in real estate; Brendan Murphy in corporate; Shane O’Brien in intellectual property (disputes); and Éamon Ó Cuív in finance.
The new consultant is Anna Moran in the investment funds team.
Commenting on the appointments, managing partner Barry Devereux said: “These appointments reflect the changes currently taking place in the legal profession as technology, the increasing globalisation of legal services and clients demanding more for less means that law firms must improve and adapt their offering, while continuing to ensure the high levels of expertise and client service we are known for.”
Mr Devereux added: “All seven have demonstrated an outstanding ability to consistently deliver a first-class service for their clients in a fast changing world for legal services.”
The firm also announced three appointments to its management team: Deirdre Barnicle in the new position of head of tax compliance services; Majella Egan as head of residential sales; and Ray Hunt as head of company secretarial and compliance services.
It said the management appointments were an important part of the firm’s strategy to expand its business in these areas.
